purchased a tech support warranty for my magic jack phone. when needed to restore my service, it was totally useless. I wasted several hours on remote with warranty department. did not help at all. they said my network was flooded wit viruses. I purchased another warranty from my cable provider, for another $100 to clean my computer out. and install anti viruses protection. they did it.when I contacted magicjack again for their help in restoring my service, I spent several hours on remote again to no avail. they did not get my magic to work. I have been without a house phone for months and months ever since. I want my money back, from the warranty company they said I had to purchaseget to get my magicjack phone to work again.

Majic Jack Won't Reconise My Account. | Magicjack review from Springboro, Ohio

I bought a replacement Magic Jack Go and tried to use it a message came on and said my account had expired. The truth is that it was good till 1/2016. After I called tech and the put up with one person after another asking about where the MJ was plugged in, how many and what color the lights are, unplug, plug in, ect. All this after telling them that the phone was working good enough to get a message from them that my account had expired. They say we can fix that, we will send you up to a better person and we will fix you right up. Repeat everything three times. Then after they have finished scratching their heads they have a glitch and drop the call. I have hours tied up in this thing and it still isn't working. Their foreign customer reps only know what is written on there screen. I told one that the problem was in their systems failure to see that I had credit left on the account. His reply was to just go and renew for the full price and things would be good. And it went on and on. So it will be customer service on DayII. The fuse is getting short and the %!#*$@ are about to begin.

I have been on the phone for hours with different "support and help" no one that works for these assist lines actually works for magic jack. You can't get a live person when you call magic jack, they refer you back to the help lines or live chat which also is a crock. No one that works tech lines speak English clearly enough that I can understand them. The one i talked to today said my # hadn't been ported, but it has. When they tried to port it again, they told me it wasn't available, yet I was speaking to them on the ported #. It is absolutely crazy making. There are many complaints, none of which have been resolved. So what are you supposed to do to get what you paid for? I will be passing the word to anyone, not to use Magic Jack.

We purchased the magic jack for 78.00 .. It work fine for the first 3 months. Next we get a server error message. We contacted magic jack and they said we had many to many calls and our service had been disconnected and we would not be given a refund. My son is the only one who uses the phone. He is at school during the day. He does not make a ton of calls. We are still waiting for the call log they said they would send. Be smart do not buy a magic jack! I can not believe they get away with this.

We have had Majic jack Plus for about a year and a half. The reception is very sporadic, often can't hear the person on the other end, or vice versa . . . In addition, certain numbers are blocked; like your local phone company for instance, lol. My wife and I decided NOT to renew for anohter year, so I contacted MJ just now to let them know I was thinking of putting my Magic Jack Plus on Craig's list. They promptly informed me that I could not do that. The device we purchased it apparently registered to me and ONLY me . . . and they will not allow a new customer to register our device. They want HIS money for a new unit, lol. Don't waste your time with this *** company.

When I first signed up for it, had several problems, but finally got them settled....only way to contact them is thru CHAT and most of the people I have talked to really doesn't seem to know that they are talking about. Now after 3 yrs.seems to be worse.....can't always use phone, a lot of cut off calls,static, etc on ph. a lot....even bought new phone....same thing....MJ is cheap but it is no good....have to have computer signed on to use it,even tho I have the PLUS....all in all I am fed up, and looking for another phone co.

I guess all things come to an end. I had just paid for my 1 yr renewal of $32.00 in Sept. and now for the past 1 1/2 wk I have no dial- tone. I'm very heated about that seeing that I had this for 1 yr & not it doesn't work. It's also bad that you don't have a live Customer Service to speak to. It don't make any sense to have paid for the renewal now pay someone else a monthly fee to have phone service. If it's like that then I wouldn't recommend Magic Jack or Magic Jack Plus to any one.

I had the same problem. Thought the renewal was going to be 9.95 but found out instead it was a wopping $32.

Paid it because the MJ worked well for the year and hey it was still a savings right? Wrong!!!!!! Like you I very rarely have a dial tone, if any calls do go through 98% drop in mid call, and the live chat people are idiots!! I don't know how many times I've been instructed to uninstall the MJ and reinstall it.

Not to mention countless numbers of time I've been istruction that I needed to turn off my firewall protection in order for the MJ to function properly. Right, fat chance I'm *** enough to do that. Plus I'm angry that this would even be considered a solution. There is no mention of this requirement in or on the packaging or the advertisement.

It's a peice of junk. Not reliable.
