MagicJack, what a *** product.

My husband and I purchased MagicJack about a year and a half ago. The first month we had it, we didn't have any issues, but after then, it's just been one problem after another. We've gotten dropped calls, calls that won't come through (people get told that the number can't be reached), echo's, static, can't make phone calls etc. We've contacted the technical support (if you can actually call them that) numerous times. I've followed their instructions to supposedly fix our issues to the letter, but nothing has solved the issues we've had. We've ran the MagicFix, upgraded each time there is an upgrade but still the problems persist. Between all the problems this phone service has given us and the lack of good support, I'd highly recommend NOT wasting your money on a product that isn't worth your money. Stay away from MagicJack, it's just a ripoff.

Hey, you're only paying $20.00 a year what do you expect. This product is better than those expensive monthly phones.

I have no phone because it won't upload, the quality is terrible on chat, the phone drop's calls, my voice is garbled and I have now spent two months trying to work with tech support sometime all week long..and day and all night long. When my computer re-starts after an update oops; there blows Magic Jack. This is a piece of *** and I will not recommend it. I am computer literate but there are technical issues that one needs to do with support that the average computer user will never be able to do. I still don't have it working; I signed up for 5 years..and I want my money back??? Good luck huh!!

MagicJack tech support sucks

I spend 24+ hours, over a 3 day period, trying to get magicJack to work. The chatroom tech support I rcieved was the worst I've ever experienced in my life. At 8pm, 03-08-09, I was no closer to getting my magicJack online than I was when I placed my first chatroom message at 2pm, 03-06-09. I chatted with, at least, 25-30 different techs, at various levels, and got nothing done. In my opinion, and I have over 20 years experience in Data Processing, thery arer the most incompetent group of people I have ever had the misfortune of having to deal with on a technical level.

I have used MagicJack for the past year and had some problems...when my computer crashed, I was never able to use it again, just over the weekend, they charged my checking account for the yearly service $19.95 w/o my authorization. This company advertises on TV but when you call it is all automation, no person to talk to regarding a problem. I want my money back.

Magic jack is a scam | Magicjack in South San Francisco, California

The company has no live support. They charged me $89 instead of $39. The phone does not work. Their customer support are very poor technical wise. Their product is a waste of time and your money. I bought the 2 magic jack on June of 2008. The jack came 20 days late then I did not have time to work on the jack. Now when I start working on, their website has live person. but not phone support only live chat. I spent 8 hours with them try to make my jack work. They ask me to get a new phone, a new USB hub, I spend more money for nothing. They keep asking me to rebbot my system it will work which I can no longer chat to them. When you log back and chat with them again you have to spend hour to repeate what is the problem they even did not check the previous log. They have the same answer repeately, they have only one person to answer chat I think because they disappeared for a long time and not answer your chat right away. When I ask for phone support or higher supervisor they got out of the chat.
