Magic jack id30333415 cannot get live help my phone is mute | Magicjack in Clementon, New Jersey

I have been trying to reach a live Technical Support Person from Magic Jack to help me. My phone isn't working This happened directly after anti virus protection downloaded. I need to talk to a live person to help me correct this. Presently, cannot use phone. I have also just renewed for another year and I do not want to do this if this problem not fixed. Order No TS13029137 Magic Jack image does show up on my computer screen so I do not think problem would be hard to fix Just need a person to talk to. Thank you

Hey I'm not a MJ tech or anything I'm just an average person but I got an idea that really might work and if I were you I would try first.

Remove the anti-virus that you just downloaded...

Then remove your Magic Jack download (it can be re-downloaded)...

Then shut off computer...

Re-install anti-virus...

Restart computer...

Re-install Magic Jack...

Restart computer...

See if that works.

Also make sure that you only have one anti-virus program on your computer.

Magicjack support pissed me off. The support so Bad. Call and Chat with them a month now. They promise to fix the problems. But nothing happen. Chat with the Tech support is to waist your time. When you are calling like me the Magicjack tree times. Chat with Tech. Support five times. You are chatting with people in India it seems so fore me. I must admit it worked until we should renewed it. But to pay with a new credit card account the Magicjack could not handle that problem. Easy for other company but not Magic Jack. And the email Benjamin promise to send never come.

Trouble shooting at Magic Jack a Joke! | Magicjack in Phoenix, Arizona

So I started receiving "unkown caller" calls every five minutes at all hours of the day and had no way of stopping them. So I contacted magicjack technical support and asked them to either.... 1. Block the caller 2. Have my number changed 3. Refund my money, seeing they weren't fixing the problem. Guess what, they gave me no options to resolve this and pretty much could care less about "customer care". So much for trouble shooting or technical support when you use their service. I've contact them more than 3x and guess what their question to me was? Can you give me the number that is calling you? Doesn't the word "unknown caller" give anyone a clue here? Guess you get what you pay for.

MagicJack Sucks! Works only 10% of the time!

I have used MagicJack for two years now. When first purchased, it worked most of the time (reception breaks up makeing it difficult to understad the other party). Despite technical support, it was never cleared up. I moved to a new state one year later. Not having any phone in a new area, I purchased another year of MagicJack. After one month of useage, I was unable to make local calls. I purchased a cell phone as MagicJack could not be relied upon. If I called my MagicJack number to leave a message, half the time a recording would state that my call could not go through. I fould this out from other people who attempted to contact me as well. Reception? Still breaks up & difficult to understand, if at all. Despite all my conversations with MagicJack tech support (and there were many), none of the porblems were resolved despite their promisses. If you ask to speak with a supervisor, forget it! Tech support will not pass you to anyone other than another tech support person. (Must be alot of complaints). About the only thing that works with MagicJack is the voice mail, but this only works if your call is received. When voicmail IS received, the clarity is good. By the way, I changed my phone three times with MagicJack, but neither of the phones worked any better. I would never recommend MagicJack to anyone, especially as a backup emergency phone!

The Magic Jack is a bad product. You can not get any technical support, no phone for customer service, in fact no phone number what so ever to contact them. You are on your own. This product dose not give you calling every where. Some numbers it will call and others it will not, right in the same town and or house hold. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone for any reason. It cuts out parts of conversation. This product is worthless and they take your money and run, they are no good. I was on line to them for three hours and received no help what so ever. I will send my Magic Jack back 3-29th of 2011.

Bad is Correct!!! If you have conclued this to be true please pass it on.

Magic Jack does massive TV advertising & many will be sucked in with no study. Look how many already have been. For some goog detailed information scroll down & read the post "Magic Jack -Don't Go Near It". The guy has done lots of study on Magic Jack & how they operate.

Like he says "Real Bad News". He also encourages readers not to believe him. Study the complaints yourself then draw your own conclusion. Spread the word to friends & family.

Good luck to the person who posted this regarding sending it back. Hope you will see your money again. This company & those who run it are appaling.

Magic Jack- Don't Go Near It | Magicjack in Austin, Texas

I bought Magic Jack a year ago. I'm technical. Not very impresses with audio. After getting install done, I wanted an easy (vanity) phone number for $10 more. I did that online & put it on a credit card. I began doing research on Magic Jack scummy business practices. I chose not to renew when my year was over mainly because what they have done to others. I can & will not support this kind of business. Well sure enough today a year later they put a $20 renewal fee on my credit card. A filed a complaint with my bank & called Magic Jack to cancel & get them to refund my money. I also recorded the phone call.They said the charge will be removed within 5 days. They *** sure better. My advice to everyone. Do not deal with this company at all. Real bad news. Hope this will discourage honest/decent folks from getting tangled in their web of bad business. Real bad business. But the information looks quite possible to me!

Go to page 11 or 12 on this site (it will change with time). Look for "Magic Jack- New MJ Software disables your computers power saver functions"...It's had over 1240 people read it. I'm so happy to be rid of this worthless little monster.

Really, I'll say again #1 NEVER NEVER EVER Give Magic Jack your Credit Card Number. you will be inviting trouble. I can assure you of this. Believe me.

#2 I URGE YOU TO STUDY/RESEARCH THIS "PRODUCT" (Trash) before you start the long road to an experience you will most likely regret later if not right away. #3 If you are a gambler & really want to try MJack I strongly suggest that you DO NOT BUY FROM THEM DIRECTLY. Get the MJ from a retailer like Wallgreens, Best Buy, Radio Shack, basically where you can return it when you see it for the junk it is. #4 Know this upfront...The ONLY Customer Support (that's a stretch to even call it support) it's "LIVE INTERNET CHAT".

They will run you in circles from person to person & most of the time get you nowhere but wear you out! For tech help, YOU CAN NOT TALK TO A REAL PERSON. These chat sessions can become very rude. Many times when they get sick of dealing with you, they will disconnect & you will start over (if you have the energy) & hop back on the Roller Coaster once again until you wanna' bang your head against the wall or throw up.

I am surprised to read these comments. I have been using MJ for about 12 months now.

For the last 7 it has been my primary line. I do admit the quality is more like a cell phone instead of a landline but for less than $20 a year I can't complain.

I have had no trouble with my MJ and even took it to Hawaii on vacation and used it multiple times to call home. I use it for business calls and personal calls with no problem.

Check this out. Some people report after buying their area code, city etc. not available.

Looks to me like they have their own problems now. Sadly, these will affect the foolish consumer who got tangled up with mjack in the first place.

Do your own MJack study. You will notice the negative commennts far outweigh the positive.

I haven't taken the risk personally & WON'T. The replies on rude,nasty customer response (online chat) is enough to run me off. Plus look at how many have been scammed by Magic Jack on peoples credit cards. Then very little or no recourse.

Tell ME "Who, after all te negatives, would be foolish to have any dealings with this company,their junk, and their treatment of the folks who were sucked into their scheme to rip them off?" Yea, Disgusts me too.

Oh forgot to mention, I DO have friends who have tried MJack & thought it was awful. BEWARE!

What an expierenece. I've been down the road with Magic Jack, It was awful.

One year. Used it a couple of weeks & un plugged it. Tried it a few more times. By the way, my internet connection was not too slow.

The device is junk! Save yourself the trouble. You get what you pay for. Horrible customer service if you can even call it that.

You are correct. DON'T GO NEAR IT.

Magic Jack Doesn't work and Doesn't give Refunds | Magicjack in Port-Au-Prince, Ouest Department

The saleswoman at Staples recommended Magic Jack to I bought it. It didn't work. I wasted literally five hours with technical support and they finally decided to blame my ISP. Their problem is that their competitor's box works fine with my ISP. I requested a refund and was told that no refunds are made. I told them that I wanted a refund since their service didn't work and they still refused. They then disconnected me. You would have to be crazy to deal with this gang of thieves. They are thieves! They are goniffs! Don't deal with them!

Magic Jack - Incompetent bullying Customer Service | Magicjack in Dallas, Texas

Magic Jack Customer Service SUCKS!!!! They want to get your money, but I am finding more and more that once a technical problem or a billing issue arises, you can get NO satisfaction from the Live Chat associates. I just spent TWO hours on an online chat while one idiotic, incompetent technician after another tried to fix the problem, during which time the MJ device broke, like literally broke. The USB pin / part of the device broke off and I subsequently found out that they debited my bank account WITHOUT My consent for the replacement device. Spent another hour speaking to an associate after find out that my money was taken without my permission, and she insists that I have to pay for the replacement device. What poor customer service and PR!!!! I think the actual product when it works, is very good value, but I'd have to say, after today, the company no longer has my support!

Magicjack cheated me out my international account

I purchased Twenty U.S. Dollars of International calls. I used about $5.00 osout of that total, then my MJ device broke down. I tried to get it to work through their technical support. They were unable to get the device going ever again. I purchase a new device; it didn't work either. I had my wife send me another one yet. This time it did work and I am still using it. I contacted magicJack to have the remainder of my balance to the new unit (under the same phone number) but was told that they could not transfer the moneys. So, after talking to one of the supervisors he told me that I was going to be reimbursed and to provide my credit number. While in the process of getting it, we got disconnected and could not get the same sujpervisor. I had to go through another series of agents until finally put me through another supervisor, this time a female who was rather rough and negated all the prior supervisor said. I took the precaution of copying the chat so I had the evidence at hand. She still refused. We went back and forth but my request was denied by her. I figure I am not the only one being cheated like that. As you can see I only used 25% of the credit and this agent tells that I had used ALL of my credits I explained that it was impossible because I just didn't access to magicJack but they are keeping my money. Word of caution watch yor accounts closely. I am filing a formal letter of complaint with the BBB so there is a record of this fraud.

I noticed new MagicJack software uses more flash memory, about 40 to 50Mbytes more. That is why any thin client with 256Mbytes flash won't work any more.

Also new software upgrade is utilizing more CPU power, 100% most of the time which interfered with the sound quality for 800MHz CPU.

The new software requires you to have a minimum of 1GHz CPU and 512Mbytes of flash. Any thing less than that won't work.
