I ported my Canadian number to magic jack it works fine for 1 month. But suddenly it got disconnected now I try to contact magic jack ..first it's very hard to contact customer support......

I worked with 2 magic jack tects on the phone for hours on the phone. They could not get the replacement jack working. Then a supervisor nick Wilson came on phone to help. He was very disrespectful and called me ***. He sent me a code that took over my computer. He said he wanted to check my internet connection. I tried to tell him my equipment and connect was new. He told me if I know so much why did I call them. He said my system had been hacked and my information stolen that is why the jack don't work. Torpid worm found in my system he said. I told him I will investigate it and he ask me are you going to send someone to Pakistan. If magic jack company let people working for them like this we need to let everyone know.

Try contacting a person at magic jack. Impossible!

Circular runaround. Magic jack calls do not "ring" my phone. How to fix?

Magicjack in La Vernia, Texas - Can't talk to support on the phone and its a phone company

I recently tried to renew my two magic jack devices for five years. One device renewed fine but the other one would not work. When I spoke with tech support on their "live chat" feature, It was apparent that the support person was getting confused about my problem. When I asked to speak to someone on the phone (after all it is a phone company) I was told I could not speak that support was only available via the live chat feature. When I could not get my problem resolved (simply reactivating my two magic jack units) I got blamed for the problem. Every time I asked to speak to a live person I got the old "support is only provided via live chat" answer. when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told she was the manager and there was no one higher I could address. I was also told later that I could submit a suggestion to "upper management" about the service support issue. I told her "so you do have someone higher to answer to. I thought there was no one higher than you". It was a complete exercise in futility. I will find someone else to handle my services now. It is a shame, the company use to be very good at the start.

After explaining at length that the credit had not been applied to my account, I was eventually transferred to a "higher level of support" Faye, who was quite rude and condescending . When I asked for the name of her supervisor, she said she IS the supervisor, so I asked for the name of her manager... she then abruptly ended the chat. MJ after 7 years, you are losing a long time customer. I will now start looking around for a different provider. This person's attitude was completely unnecessary. (since this feature requires 100 words, the last bit of our conversation is copied below) Faye: Hoping that somehow i did an excellent job addressing your concern. Sharon: you did help figure out the proble... however i realize that although you may have some difficult people to have to deal with sometimes. Magicjack in Rutland, Vermont - Magic Jack Minus

The new Magic Jack Plus failed after 3 days. The only "support" is through a live IM system that is overburdened and very slow. The agents seem to have a script "unplug the device, wait 3 minutes, etc." then the next step is "turn off the router, wait 3 minutes, etc." After those processes have failed to solve the problem, the whole thing starts over. It isn't possible to communicate with a supervisor or manager, only with the marginally skilled, underpaid person who happens to be there at the moment. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Magic Jack - it's junk.

Magicjack in New Windsor, New York - Worst Customer Service ever!!!!

This company has the worst customer service i have ever dealt with. i signed on and noticed that my device got switched and i never told them to switch devices. i tried to call them, but they do not do ANYTHING over the phone. i tried to explain what happened on their chat and they blamed me for breaking a TOS which i did not do. when i explained that to them they "disconnected" the chat. i restarted the chat and asked for a manager... they switched the chat to one of their "top 10% agents as rated by our customers" and i tried to explain the situation to him and he disconnected the chat just like the other person. DO NOT GET A MAGIC JACK... YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

I did but it seem at though you want more money to reply!!!! It look like I need a Lawer!!!! I have been charged double for 1 magic jack plus & very up set that I can not geta manager!!! I was charged $89.97 on 8/12/ 11 & $73.31 on 9/10/11 If you think I going to let you charge my accout again I have no choice but to report you!!!! I really do not want to wast any more of my time!!!! LET THE LAW HANDLE Magic Jack RIPP OFF Im not in good health yo handle this.

you can go to the credit card company and file a complaint and most of the time you get your money back but you need to do it fast thay have a time limit in filling.

I paid for my magicjack on 1/6/2011. they sent me an email stating it was not paid.
