After explaining at length that the credit had not been applied to my account, I was eventually transferred to a "higher level of support" Faye, who was quite rude and condescending . When I asked for the name of her supervisor, she said she IS the supervisor, so I asked for the name of her manager... she then abruptly ended the chat. MJ after 7 years, you are losing a long time customer. I will now start looking around for a different provider. This person's attitude was completely unnecessary. In 2010 started with the magicjack and paid for the 5 year service, they took money with no authorization out my account, the technical support *** and the costumer care would not give me a specific reasons, . The worse thing that they said I have the sevice untill 2015 and cant use the service and by the way the other technical support said if I wanted to renew for a year, that means no one has an idea of what the other employees are doing, is a complete fraud, I hope they get sued for trying to rob innocent people

Do not buy this thing, I have spent every day for weeks now on their so called " help Line" same story every day. they run " magic Fix" it works for two minutes then phone goes dead. You can't get a live person on a live phone only a chat line then they cut you off the chat line! If I did not pick up the phone every 5 min to see if it is dead I would have no idea if I had a phone line, which I did not! Save yourself the grief do not buy this thing. God forbid if I had a emergency and no phone!!~

I see now that this MagicJack thing is one of those "too good to be true" gadgets. First of all, it is not free - by the time I became a MJ customer I'd spent almost $170.

I could make outgoing calls from the first, but couldn't receive any incoming calls. I spent hours typing back and forth with their agents (you can't talk to anybody), but couldn't resolve the problem. The more runaround they gave me, the more I had an uneasy feeling that I'd made a big mistake. Still, Ifigured maybe it was my mistake for asking to retain my old number from a different carrier, so I told them, forget it, just give me any old number!

So, they did and I thought, okay, we have finally resolved the problem. I tried calling my new MJ number from my cell, but the phone didn't ring and the recording told me that the MJ customer (ME)is not available. Back to chatting for another hour with mysterious "agents".

In truth, the agents are polite and do try to help, but their suggestions reveal that they are convinced they are talking to somebody completelly familiar with how MJ works, while in fact, this is not so, not in my case - I found their suggestions confusing and ultimatelly frustrating. Now I'm at the point where I just hope I can cancel MJ alltogether!

Disgust and frustration with Magic Jack | Magicjack review from Tampa, Florida

I originally purchased MJ about two years ago and have paid for five years service. I was completely happy until I ordered MJ Plus and could not get it installed properly nor get any satisfactory help from their so called " help" line. The persons obviously were not native english speakers and could NOT understand nor help with my problem. I returned the MJ Plus and the following day got a SECOND one in the mail which I returned unopened. Then I tried to use call forwarding and, lo and behold, the MJ Plus number that I had declined was the number that showed up. The "help" line again could not resolve the problem nor get my call forwarding turned OFF. NOW, I can't even get the MJ screen to show up and am REALLY angry.

I bought a Magic Jack a year ago. Along with it I bought an additional 5 years of calling time. This month (Feb 2012) I decided to get the Magic Jack Plus. They will not transfer the time that I paid for for the original Magic Jack to the Magic Jack Plus. I spoke with Customer Service. No go. They claim that even though I have the same phone number, the Magic Jack Plus is a new and different product. That means I lose about 4 years of service time. That is not right! I returned the Magic Jack Plus. In addition, they don't tell you all the facts. According to them you just plug the Magic Jack Plus into the wall and it works. Nope! You have to plug in an ethernet cable too. I have a router so that is not a problem. Suppose I just had DSL. Would I have to buy a splitter???

I rennewed my phone this week and when I finished it the message came back to use a new credit card. so I phoned the credit card number and they advised me that the charge had gone through. then today I tried to use the phone and it said that I needed to rtenew the subscription. my credit card co. advised me that a charge of about $104,00 was accepted and not to do it again. I renewed for 5 years. my name is mary faye pippy and the phone number I had was 727-599-0037. I think they may have issued me a new number also of 727-599-0581. can you advise as I really like this service xqyj

reg # with info 561-594-2140 BILLING -- 561-594-9925 they provide this number and will work UNLESS you prefer to keep a copy of your help from them.. talking with someone seems to make me FEEL better.. but it seems with magic jack.. even that doesn't mean anything..LOL. i love the product.. it is great because i need my own area code for my business...so i use MJ to few calls TO my business call number...and that is the ONLY reason i use magic jack... it is a pain that i do NOT get a voicemail unless the computer is ON...if it is off people can't leave me a vociemail.. to get later.. how dumb is that?

Ordered Mj+ for 39.95 and decided to take advantage of th 5 year plan, the

Problem was the 5 Year plan kicked out my plus order! After3 hours on chat

And customer service, they said they could not help me and I had to pay 69.95 since the offer was only for 48 hours! I asked each person to fOllw my logic. I have had Mu for 4 years never had I paid more than the reoccurring

Fee, but on the day they send out a 48 hour offer I just randomly call

And pay for 5 yeas oh yes I was moving at the time! They just kept saying

It was only a 48 hour offer! I told them to cancel the 5 year plan, and my other service as well!!!!

I tried to call the billing number, and I got a tape that lasted for 1.20 minutes. It said to wait to talk to an operator, but it automatically hung up when the tape ended. What now??

I have 2 phones with them. they have already screwed up my account twice before and charged me for one phone number i canceled over a year ago.. their customer service is just horrible... they just now took out $4 from my account and i have no idea why . i will be going to my bank to stop them from ever taking another penny from my account... i have used them for years but am SO sick of the customer service hassles.. they really have NO customer service... only got them to have my own area code for business calls. now i know why so many of my friends refuse to use them.. i got a email telling me to respond back within ONE hour..LOL

just off the phone with BILLING [561-594-9925] for magic jack . they told me the $3.14 was for maintenance on my custom last 4 digits of my number!!..this is unreal..i do not recall reading anything about being Charged anything per year WHEN I CHOSE [BEFORE I PAID FOR] the last 4 digits of my number...will not say i am sure but i think i would have recalled that and wrote it down! because i KNOW i got the phone because it was ONE FEE!!

My words exactly! They have NO customer service. Been using it for 2 years, with no issues, then they charged for a renewal and the phone didn't work. "Customer Service" walked me through the same steps, reassuring me at my protests that I would not be charged twice for the same thing, only to find that they charged me twice for the same thing anyway and the phone STILL didn't work!! The customer service is an artificial intelligence bot, by the way; you will never reach a live human being at MagicJack.

Walking commercial for them for years but now I have a new saying, "Sure, MagicJack works great... until it doesn't..."
