Magic jack is a complete rip off

We purchased the magic jack for 78.00 .. It work fine for the first 3 months. Next we get a server error message. We contacted magic jack and they said we had many to many calls and our service had been disconnected and we would not be given a refund. My son is the only one who uses the phone. He is at school during the day. He does not make a ton of calls. We are still waiting for the call log they said they would send. Be smart do not buy a magic jack! I can not believe they get away with this.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET

I've had over 6 maigic jacks over the last couple of years and they always wind up not working a few months into use. The power plugs burn our all the time and the MJ does NOT work with a router, only connected to my PC. The Customer service, is what they call is a complete joke. The so called CHAT jerks drop out on you if you don't let them hustle you into running the same tests every time you call in for an issue. They never get anything accomplished and they are complete Jack ***. Customers come last and Big Money comes first with this company. Where in the *** is the guy the owns the company. I bet he uses Verizon for his phone service !!! They are now so big, they don't care. about anything. Why can't a CUSTOMER CALL and SPEAK with a HUMAN BEING. Well, we all know why don't we.

Magic jack hijacks my phone number

For 10 years I have been woken up in the middle of the night and ran for my phone and was hurt only to find it was magic jack trying to find out no one was there it was magic jack trying to find out if the number (MY NUMBER) was a number they could hi jack. 1000`s of calls no selep anxiety, health issues you GOT IT....GET IT it is not ligitimate if it sounds to good to be true it probably is not true. I see there is a class action law suit, I will go to the news I already have already went to the BBB. People I ask you do not go with this company honest people are getting hurt or worse could die. The reason I believe it is magic jack is when I called the number back it said the magic jack number has not been assigned yet.

All viewers with Tigerjet MagicJack(old MJ)....connect your magicjack wired(PC/Laptop ethernet cable connected), not wireless and it will work, MJ company did the upgrade/update so that we will buy the new MJ...

Worthless customer service

Do not expect customer service to be of any help. I spent 3 hours trying to get assistance and each representative I spoke with knew and cared less the other one/ Be prepared to be on your own when you purchase this P.O.S. it really is more of a hassle than a convenience. I am completely fed up with their service and I never want to hear of or use it again/ It is a great novice idea but impractical completely and not customer oriented in any way. I spoke with Jody which pretended for over an hour to assist me but did nothing and then was kind enough to disconnect the session.chris was just as useful as Jody they must use foreign help that uses key words such as " Please hold on & I understand (A favorite of MJ) funny that they really don't understand anything not even simple English words .

Frustration and fed up

Two MJs have been replaced numerous times the last few years. This past time, I've been with 12 or more of their highest remote support techs for over 12 hours in several days and nothing was accomplished. I think they get frustrated and either have me reboot or disconnect. You never get the same tech back. They will not issue an RMA for refund and prorated portion of subscriptions. You pay for shipping and handling of replacements and also pay to mail the malfunctioning device back. Waste of time with customer service if you have issues. If you purchase one of these devices, do it at a big box store where it can be returned, no questions asked. DO NOT buy directly from MagicJack.com.

Scrambles your phone to get you to buy cleanup service

never talked about why my phone isn't working just wanted to sell cleanup network service. I won't buy so they got rude and said they couldn't help me then hung up. I called because my magic jack was not working. I allowing the tech to log on to my system. Only to be told that my network had been hacked by someone in Nigeria and for 149 or 249 I could have a anti networking tech level 12 help clean up my network. When I told him I was not going to pay for the service the call was immediately dropped. My computer was reset by the technician upon resetting he was still logged on to my computer and I asked him why he couldn't explain and he told me I terminated the call.

MY MAGIC JACK QUIT WORKING. I CALLED MY NUMBER FROM MY CELL PHONE & WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT A WORKING NUMBER.

I CALLED FOR TECH SUPPORT & THE PERSON HAD A ACCENT OF SOME SORT & I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HE WAS SAYING.

I GAVE UP DISCONNECTED. MY NUMBER IS 304 300 ****.
