I have never worked with such a horrible company, ever. They do NOT listen, they are trying to blame the internet service and i have done everything they have asked to get the phone to work. They keep giving me the run around and refuse to refund the balance of my service. I have been told that I need to get a new router for $$$$ so that their $ MJ will work. I have been told so many stories that I have forgotten which ones are in what order. I would NEVER purchase from this company again. I cannot recommend that you so so the first time. Run away, save yourself.

Service person caused problems with magic jack | Magicjack review from Cartersville, Georgia

I called magic jack to add more time and person could not help me. He said I had errors on my computer and for $99.00 he would fix it for me.I told him I did not want him and I had someone I my house who could do it but he insisted that he had to do it. I said no and he hung up. After that I could not call out but someone could call in. I called back and they refused to help me. My phone was working fine until they came in the back door. I have dropped them and my computer does not have any errors on it that we could find.

Phone Service Review

I called magic jack customer service to find out what was wrong with phone, got a foreigner who said hackers were into my computer and for a fee he could fix the problem. I hung up and figured out that the magic jack was unplugged!

Tech support non existent.....marble mouthed foreigners.... all they do is read from a script......went to "OOMA". Easy install no need for customer service so far and product is far superior. Much better sounding "VOIP" service and cheaper then vonage. They refuse to accommodate with phone tech support and look for the cheapest way to man the so called support function. You can't support a function in the united states with a bag of rice and expect the public to buy into a bad outdated technical product. Don't leave any credit cards on file or they will chage it and refuse to refund upon renewal.

I've had many magicJacks over the years and this year I've made several attempts to use the magicJack cell phone app and have had nothing but problems and you are ONLY! allowed to get it resolved online. However I can never get an actual MJ-TECH, instead I get some way! out sourced customer service person who is reading a prompter and knows little to nothing about the product and after asking for a supervisor; a person by the name of FAYE came online and when I explained this was an ongoing problem and to please! get me a true TECH and she got insulted and discontinued the e-CHAT. So I almost want to NEVER ever deal with this HORRIBLE Customer Service number company, though I have to admit the device does come in handy, and yes does save on phone calls - BUT, you better have TOP! Quality internet speed etc . . .

They want you to pay when there equipment fails | Magicjack review from Murrysville, Pennsylvania

My magic jack quit working and went straight to voicemail. I got on the web site chat and they determined their plug had gone bad. They offered to ship me a new one for 5.95, easily the cost of the part. When I refused they suggested using an plug from an i phone which I happened to have and it worked. Could have cared less from there about getting me a new piece of their failed equipment when I voiced my displeasure they said "I understand why you feel that way but can't help you". Their customer service might be the worst I've ever encountered. Stay away from Magic Jack. When my service is up, I'm going to run.

I had the same bad experience with them, but I wasn't offered any option as far as a fix goes. I was supposed to be getting a refund at least of the years service I had prepaid but I haven't received it.

I'm thinking about starting a lawsuit against them.

All of a sudden I can't even contact them anymore. It's as if I've been blocked.

Do not expect customer service to be of any help. I spent 3 hours trying to get assistance and each representative I spoke with knew and cared less the other one/ Be prepared to be on your own when you purchase this P.O.S. it really is more of a hassle than a convenience. I am completely fed up with their service and I never want to hear of or use it again/ It is a great novice idea but impractical completely and not customer oriented in any way. I spoke with Jody which pretended for over an hour to assist me but did nothing and then was kind enough to disconnect the session.chris was just as useful as Jody they must use foreign help that uses key words such as " Please hold on & I understand (A favorite of MJ) funny that they really don't understand anything not even simple English words .

Magic J cut me off because my subscription expired... I asked why did you not let me know, they said they tried? I paid the subscription and they told me sorry because your're sub expired you have lost your UK minutes. I was ticked off as it was about $15.00 worth , I purchased more and thought all was well.... Well it wasn't I could not make any calls and then they told me my M J plus was too old and had worn out, I bought it two years ago and only use the phone to call the UK which is about two hours a month. Of course they want me to buy a new one I think I will go somewhere else.
