Magicjack in Naples, Florida - "Magic Jack"

I bot one of the so-called "MagicJack" devices back on 6 June 2008. I went thru 3 weeks of perfect service with all 3 phones on-line. Then, zip! I have spent 3 (6 hrs) days with several so-called techies in Miami. Geraldine hung up on me. Marcy did nothing, Harold was of no help. Then, 2 Jonathans tried to help. Couldn't. Emmalee had me delelte ALL vid files, etc. Still zip. Then, I got Ryan, who boasted that he was part of the creating staff. He had me delete files, and then told me to re-boot. I sed how can I get back to you. He sed to get back into the Tech file, and ask for him. Well, U guessed it. I got Jacob and he sed that he'd pass me off to a higher techie but couldn't promise that I would get Ryan. After, MANY min.s, I gave up. No Ryan. This sytem if it every worked, would be a boon to mankind, BUTT so far it is a waste of my time. Which has been much of it. Also, I gave my land line (SPRINT) the boot before I got this contraption to work, the middle of Jun. So, now, I have just my crappy cell phone (AT&T or whover has them, now) Their websites are all screwed up, as they don't do what they say they will. There is NO way that anyone can contect them, direct. I scalped a phone number (305-454-4232) that gets U no one as it rings and a message (indicating that it is MagicJack)says no one is there. They 2 men that I have talked to, via them calling me on that line, were Asian, and difficult to understand. Sam sed that he couldn't do anything for me.

Magicjack in Redwood City, California - No customer service, lies on shipment

Don't believe anything that Magic Jack says on their web site. Maybe you will get lucky like my friend and get the product in 2 days and be happy. Or you can be like me and pay for rush shipping, order early in the day to meet their "guaranteed same day shipping" clause, and then find out that they ship when they *** well feel like it. I needed the unit for an international trip to call back to the US but now it won't arrive in time. Won't they be happy to find out that I will file a protest for non-performance with Visa and they will eat the entire cost and won't get the unit back unless they send someone to pick it up.

Another cheated customer by Magicjack

I saw the informercial and thought "WOW" what a great product. And I get to try it free for 30 days? I ordered right away. JULY 6, 2007. On july 7 I was billed for shipping. I got my 2 magic jacks (one for my son in the navy) quick. Plugged it in and "BAM" Ihad this great product. Until my computer crashed. Fixed my computer, plugged back in, nothing. went to magic fix. Fixed the problem. After a few days, I decided I didn't want to leave my computer on 24/7 for a phone, and obviously my son in the navy couldn't either. sSo I decided I would send it back. That was 23 days into a 30 day free trial. I jumped through every hoop they asked me to and sent my magicjack back. on day 29, after my magicjack was aleardy in there hands, I was billed 90 some dollars. Wait, I thought this was a 30 day free trial. Well, their live chat help was useless. There escalation process to a supervisor was usless. After 1 and a half hours on line with them, I wanted to send in a formal complaint. They REFUSED togive me their business address. She (andrea) was willing to say they had one, but refused to give it to me. I am very frustrated with this company as they falsly advertised a free trial, billed me before it was up, gave me the run around about my refund, and threatened, " I will end this chat right now" when I told them I was going to write this review. NOW, I wonder if I will ever see my money again. I think this product is great, but the company selling it is un-ethical. They WILL cheat you if given the chance.

Magicjack in Glendale, Arizona - False Advertising on Magic Jack site and no phone number.

I clicked on the free trial offer on the Magic Jack website (the website said the offer was ending that day), but when I got to the billing page, it showed that it was going to bill me now, not after the 30 day free trial. So, I did not click on any kind of confirm or authorize button, or even a next button, instead I went back into the site, read more about the product and decided not to order. Next morning I found they had put a hold on my account. Couldn't get a phone number to speak to a person, but went thru live chat and was told the order, which I did not intend to place, would be canceled. Unfortunately it still has not been resolved and they still have a hold on my account. The fact that they won't give you a phone number also makes me nervous (I asked the chat support tech for one and they refused). Also I notice that the website is still offering the 'free trial' and it still claims that whatever day you enter the site is the last day!

Magicjack in Edison, New Jersey - Magic Jack Sucks

I ordered the Magic Jack, what a pos. I plugged it in an it lit up. I didn't install. I reset my comp and it set my hard drive back to default. Lost all my files. I just sent it back. I'll keep you up to date about it. If I don't get my money back I'll take a trip down to FL and pay them a visit. I thought it would be good to have a 20 a year phone bill. Not worth the head ache. Do not buy this product. Before you buy something look it up online.
