Magicjack in Sonora, California - No one answers my email. Telephone number?

I would like to speak to a real person or have my emails answered. Preferably, I would like to speak to a real person. I really do want this MajicJack to work according to your television advertisements. What am I doing wrong in hooking it up? I bought a new phone because I thought it was because f my old phone that it didn't work. But still no joy. I wish someone (a real person) other than a video would contact me and help me through the setup. Believe me, I want it to work!! I agree!!! I absolutely love the idea Magicjack is selling and I bought the jack with 5 additional years service up front.

I am now 3 weeks into the wait for the "replacement" jack that is supposed to work, I get on their chat-line from *** just to find out that they never even shipped it out! I feaking hate this company, I hope they go belly up and die a slow death.

MagicJack Don't Disclose

I purchased 2 MagicJack, one for my primary phone and one for my independent fax line. I ordered and paid for 2 MagicJacks. A few days later I received the two ordered MagicJacks. I plugged them into the USB ports and one refused to work. After a whole day of Live Chat, MagicJack fails to tell you is that you need a separate computer for each MagicJack. They should have disclosed that you need a separate computer for each jack, which SUCKS. It's hard to believe that MagicJack can not engineer a way to have more than one jack on a computer. Warren

The magicjack is the worst product ever made ... I've spent two days on chat support with robot typing retards that can't seem to figure out why I can't recieve calls or call my voicemail.

So I'm going to *attempt* to return it and I'm sure I'll never see my money again.

Magicjack in Nashville, Tennessee - Ripped off

I ordered two magic jacks. After three hours on the phone with them I couldn't get them to work. Only outgoing calls no incoming. Returned them two days later and received an email that they rec'd them. They are charging me 66.85 for this. No one can give me a clear reason, I have been "forwarded to an admin." I have spent another 2 hours on live chat trying to get this resolved. I have all the paper work and emails to back this up. Which I have given to them (except my bank statements) and nothing...... what a rip off!

MagicJack is the worst!

No way to get a refund after three tries. This company posts no address or phone, you must do a live chat with someone who does not speak recognizable English. I returned my MagicJack within two weeks because the quality of the sound was scratchy and they forgot to mention that you must leave your computer on 24/7 to use the product. I have transcripts of the three times I have tried to get my money back. All three promised that I would get an email saying when the refund would be posted to my credit card. The first request was 6/18/08, over two months ago. there has never been an email or a refund. They give you the run around, putting you on hold for 10 -15 minutes. They only want your money - the owner is a horse breeder in Florida! What does he care?

i purchased the magic jack jack and was pleased until i realised a landline calling me in the same area code will be charged long distance unless they have the same prefix as me!! example 321-420 and 321-783 if the numbers after the area code dont match the person...

MagicJack is working for me everyday, it works fine for now and saves me all kinds of money. The live chat program works and they did what they say. When you order MagicJack there is a check box that asks if you wish to get charged now and also another asks if you want to upgrade. I did have 5 years so stop bitchen. Sometimes people get products when they do not read the fine print. You must have a good fast internet connection and know how to keep your computer clean. As for charging for service ahead of time, you need to learn how to read......... Be an active listener.... Say no to drugs! Dont take wooden nickles and keep you head out of your butt. Magicjack in Bristow, Oklahoma - Majic Jack; Total Failure

I've had this thing for a week and have tried over and over to get it to work. Nothing works and I can't contact anyone. I cannot made calls or receive calls , and the idea that you can speak to a live person appears false. I ordered one Magic Jack with two years of service @ $19.95 for the 2nd year. Foretunnately I charged it to my visa card, so maybe I can get some relief there. I'm trying to send it back but it is impossible to get the RMA # they require. It appears to be a rip off! fayed

I bought this to test it out. I would not give up my land line.

You might want to investigate skype instead. It has a long way to go to be reliable. You will have to be a computer geek to get this thing to work. The problem I have is getting a dial tone.

I discovered I have to shut down the program and restart it. I WULD NOT recommend this product.

Magicjack in Winchester, Kentucky - Stole about $305 from my checking account

Really, it was my sister they did this to. She ordered 3 magicjacks and after about a week, they took $176? from her debit card and had not even recieved them yet, well, mad she was, she had NO phone number to call so she got online to chat with someone and got nothing but run, said theyould refund her money in a few days. Well, that was end of June. She finally got them in the mail about a week or so ago and refused them and just the other day fund out another $133 taken from her account. OMG! she's out $305 right now. She had to cancel that debit card so they couldn't take more money out! Know, somehow she has to try and get her $305 back. Lord knows, she can't afford to loose that money.

There is a way to get your money back, but it's a long, frustrating process. I am genuinely sorry to hear about your sister's problem...what kind of people are we becoming?

( Note to Dave: CLEARLY there is more wrong with your inability to understand that our retail economy must rely on a certain degree of consumer's blind faith than there is with a consumer who exercises a reasonable degree of caution, but then must trust they won't be caught up in a costly loophole (AKA Scam) after hearing the infomercial CLEARLY STATE hundreds of time a day that there is a full 30 days to return the product w/o being charged. These people are peddling a computer-related product. Do you honestly think they don't know how to delay debit chgs.? I've been on the banking end of those transactions...they're doing it on purpose, CLEARLY hoping people won't read that statement, & CLEARLY knowing the consumer will have little recourse after the fact.)

Now, as for getting your money back...I experienced a similar (shipping chg.

& return policy) scam w/the Ronco knives ($80 for s &h!). 1st, they purposely prevented me from cancelling the order. Despite protests to the company, & a dispute on the chg w/the credit card co they wouldn't budge, until I wrote my state's Attorney General. Suddenly they were tripping all over themselves apologizing & couldn't refund the charges + fast enough.

Try your state's Attoprney General's office.

There should be a link for consumer complaints. They'll initially tell you there's nothing they can do but write to the company, but it should work in the end.

I bought Majic Jack and here is how it's paid for! If you use a CREDIT CARD no deduction comes out until trial period is over.

If you use a DEBIT CARD then Majic Jack takes out the fees right now. It clearly states that when you pay!!

The company has no live support. They charged me $89 instead of $39. The phone does not work. Their customer support are very poor technical wise. Their product is a waste of time and your money. I bought the 2 magic jack on June of 2008. The jack came 20 days late then I did not have time to work on the jack. Now when I start working on, their website has live person. but not phone support only live chat. I spent 8 hours with them try to make my jack work. They ask me to get a new phone, a new USB hub, I spend more money for nothing. They keep asking me to rebbot my system it will work which I can no longer chat to them. When you log back and chat with them again you have to spend hour to repeate what is the problem they even did not check the previous log. They have the same answer repeately, they have only one person to answer chat I think because they disappeared for a long time and not answer your chat right away. When I ask for phone support or higher supervisor they got out of the chat.

I tried to order it, they said it was a 30 day free trial, but then i was billed immediately. Finding no way to contact them through their email, i found the tech chat site, and then i knew i was had. The cancelled the order, and sent me an email. No money was ever returned. Two days later another 79.00 was deducted from my bank account and it was the start of identity theft you wouldnt believe. Had to close the checking account. Ive contacted everyone in authority i know to tell. But nothing. First time I had been ripped off so badly.
