Nine Phone Calls and I am unable to resolve a MagicJack payment issue!!!

I originally signed up with a Costco American Express Card for a 30 day trial. At the end of 30 days, they would charge my card for the program. I received the MagicJack, set it up and ported over my phone number. All good. But between my sign up and the 30 days, Costco switched their card program over to CitiCard and AmEx termed their cards. So when the 30 days were up, MagicJack could not charge the now dead Amex Card. I went into the MagicJack site and updated my credit card info to the new Citi card. That is when the nighmare started. The website does not let me resolve my outstanding balance with the new card, because the "product has already shipped". No phone agent can resolve this either. Three different escalations to "Account Review" has resulted in no return phone calls or emails. Two different urgent escalations to "management" has also resulted in no return phone calls or emails. Meanwhile, periodically I receive a notice from American Express that stupidly, MagicJack keeps trying to hit my old dead AmEx card. Basically, I have spent hours on the phone trying to pay MagicJack and they seem to be incapable of taking my money.

Magicjack - Indeed, Non-existent Customer Service

I have never come across worse customer service. But what would you expect when there really is none? MJ needs to get rid of its HELP option -- bogus. You get what you pay for, to use a cliche. I have been in a *** that changes every second -- always over 100 -- and the average wait time keeps changing. Insane. Good luck getting your contacts list back if it ever inexplicably disappears. I'm getting ready to contact my credit card company that I used to renew this *** to dispute and get a refund. There's got to be a better, equally inexpensive phone service out there.

Magicjack in Marinette, Wisconsin - Unethical Company

After 2 years with the company, I decided to purchase the 5 year plan. At the time, it was stated I could cancel anytime during those 5 years. Recently, my MJ unit failed, and they want to charge me $26 for a new one! They informed me they only had a 1 year warranty. I never saw that in the promotional material, and find it unacceptable they can sell a service with no equipment guarantee. I said no, and asked that the balance of the 5 years be refunded to me. They said NO, that they don't do refunds any longer! So I'm stuck... have to buy the new unit or have nothing for the money already spent. Stay away from this company. Service is cheap, but it will *** you in the long run.

Magic Jack. Should be called magic junk. Please who ever this may concern Don't buy this junk. It was more trouble than what it was worth. Calls wouldn't go through, bad reception and I had high speed internet. The list goes on. Asked for help several times couldn't get anything resolved. Bad cheap technology. Please don't purchase !!!!!!!!

I've had MJ for a few years and it met expectations such as they were for a cheap, unmanaged Internet based phone service. I understand how it works, and doesn't work, so that I have no issue with. My issue is the complete lack of accessible customer service. When service is required, it MUST be accessible within reason. I have an issue with local phone numbers that cannot be dialed from the phone. I waited three hours for a chat session, reported the issue, only to not be resolved and I simply don't have the energy to fight upstream against chat wait queues. ridiculous. I'm throwing out the 4 years I have left prepaid and getting a service I can call if/when needed.

My suggestion if you start to get poor service or are in the need for something to be fixed. Throw it all away and try again with a new E-mail, name, and cc number. Magicjack - Customer Service Absent

I hadn't heard from MagicJack in a while and didn't expect to. Then I head from friends who had called and left me messages, none of which were sent to email as they had in the past. I contacted customer service and spent an hour or more on the phone with two people, neither of whom appeared capable of comprehending plain English. The second finally said he had sent my problem to "Upper Management" and to check for emails from them. None have arrived and now my voicemail password no longer works. Coincidence? Probably not. I hate to say it, but I suspect this is another company that has gone down the toilet. At least I don't have to listen to the *** who launched the company when I go to the website.

Magicjack in Vernon Hills, Illinois - No refund!!!

I requested a refund from magicJack customer support because every single time that I was trying to call internationally even though the line wouldn't go through I was getting charged - fused to refund the money. This is the game they're playing, no matter what they will charge you and they will ask you to add more money to your account. The customer service will try to blame you for not knowing how to use the service and they will tell you that it has never happened before in other words they have never heard of that issue before so another words it is your fault because you don't know how to use the service. In my opinion the best thing you can do is just dumped him and go with another provider. The unprofessional unreliable down lying to your face and of course they're not gonna ever exit possibility for the war service in the telecommunications industry.

no customer service at all, hiding behind chat rooms with ridiculous answers. the first phone company that dont even use their own service , textin b.s solutions and wasting your time. i paid through 2020 and it already not working, no one to talk too for week by now. the monkey had enough connecting and booting the *** device, this ridiculous company must be stopped, i can't believe i actually paid in advance . never had to deal with so much b.s from one company, that don't even have customer service. just billing and sales, once you charged the deal is done as far as it seams.
