Magic Jack register date has expired 12/1/2012, trying to renewal today 2/17/2012, in order for me to renewal I am responsible for the 2 1/2 months which i didn't use, basically my date starts from 12/1/2012 (not from renewal date) and ends 12/1/2013.

Ronny: Yes, If you not renew your MJ device another years , If ever you will renew it , you will pay the years that you not pay the MJ device

Ronny: Also , If you MJ device is Expired on :12/1/2012 and you renew it after 3 months , It will expired again on 12/1/2013

Tai Kim: What you are saying is that, if i don't use the magic jack for couple of years and two years later if I want to use it again, i would have to pay for two years (which i didn't use) in order for me to use the MJ device again? Tai Kim: I am reading some of the post written from other MJ customers, they are not pleased with the MJ company. Can you reply back so i will add our conversations to website so others are aware of this issue.

Tai Kim: sure, i bought three magic jacks (two regular ones and one MJ plus), these devices are paid for and if i want to use or not that is up to me. When i want to use MJ i should be responsible paying for the service from the renewal date and not from the expired date.

Tai Kim: One I am trying to re-activate is 254-304-XXXX.

Blake: As I have checked it here, your MJ plus was already expired last 2012-12-01

Tai Kim: according my account info, it expired last year 12/1/2012 and i am trying to re-activate the account today. According to Ronny, in order to re-activate my account, i need to pay 2 1/2 months which i did not use.

Blake: I just want you to know that it will start on the day that you register the device

Tai Kim: Why do i need to pay for the months i didn't use? Hypothetically, if i don't use it for 10 years and want to use it again, i have to pay for the time being (since register date)?

Blake: Yes but it is a case to case basis TAi as once the device will not be renew after 60 days , it will be deactivated

Tai Kim: Really, okay, what else? these are good info to share with others. I am sure many MJ customers are not aware of these issues. As i have mentioned to Ronny, I will post our conversations to website and share with others, many people are not aware of what is going on with MJ service.

Blake: With magicjack you will get more what you have paid for

Blake: If you are going to renew your service now then it will expire on 2013-12-01 . You are suppose to renew your service on 2012-12-01 but you did not do that .

Tai Kim: that is exactly what i am trying to resolve. Does not matter what i get for..., as MJ advertisement, never stated these facts and I am sure many MJ customers are not aware of these issues.

Tai Kim: Yes because i had two other MJ that i was using at the same time.

Blake: This is my first time to encounter the issue as they know when they start using the magicjack and since magicjack do not have monthly bills, it usually start on the day they activated the device

Tai Kim: that is fine since i paid for the 1 year of service but once it's expired and customer/s do not with to continue the service as register date expires, it's unfair to customer and not a good business practice to charge the customer/s for in between dates not being used.

Blake: It is your prerogative if you may have to use the device or not and when you are going to renew your service but it will start on the day that you register the device

Tai Kim: Well like i said, these are news to me and I will post our comments at "http://magic-jack.pissedconsumer.com" so that others are aware of the issues. thanks for the help. I will not be using the device anymore and once other two MJ are expired that would be my last service with JM.

My MagicJack subscription was autorenewed and it's not working. Still says it's expired

My magic jack service is expired on Jan 10th, 2014. I have made periodic attempts to renew it online from Dec 25th, 2013 to date it expired.

I spoke to top ten technical staff people, who seem to be useless for me. Same is the case with the supervisor.

I have been out of service and my auto renew option did not automatically extend another 1 year of service.

They ask that I wait until this is resolved. One month gone and no reply from them...

I tried renewing my magic jack ,got a confirmation # and my magic jack is not renewed.

If it has been 2 AND 1/2 months, that should be more than 60 days and cannot be renewed based on this conversation.
